Chef Samantha Mui will teach you all of the basics of how to make dumplings for beginners with all her proven and tested dumpling making methods using the Thirsty Dumpling Kit, which has been featured on Forbes, Eater, Buzzfeed, Delish and Daytime Chicago.
Class timeline:
  • 5 minutes: Quick intro, event outline, and essential information
  • 15 minutes: Making the dough
  • 15 minutes: Making the filling and dipping sauce
  • 15 minutes: Rolling dumpling wrappers
  • 15 minutes: Folding dumpling techniques
  • 15 minutes: Pan-frying the dumplings
  • 10 minutes: Eat, take photos, and ask any last-minute questions
This cooking class is designed to empower you no matter your current cooking stage. Chef Samantha will demystify the daunting parts of dumpling making and share how to add creative touches throughout the process.

Samantha Mui, a native of the California Bay Area, now resides in Chicago. A former culinary student and current food blogger, she has worked in and out of the food industry for more than a decade and has a #1 New Release on Amazon cookbook called Melting Pot. She has been a guest on the Bay Area TV show Check, Please!, done cooking demos on live TV on Daytime Chicago, was a runner-up on Food Network’s competition show Supermarket Stakeout, and a beta streamer on the culinary streaming platform, Kittch. Samantha is now the founder of Thirsty Dumpling, a company that sells DIY dumpling kits using a cake mix approach to make restaurant-style dumplings from her Chinese heritage.
