Coffee Tab is a nonprofit coffee shop on a mission to serve a high-quality cup of coffee that inspires a higher quality of life. We provide an 8–12 week barista training program and life skills mentorship for underserved young people, equipping them with employable skills, career support, and a strong sense of community. As a fully operating café, we also offer eligible students paid employment, giving them hands-on experience in a supportive environment.
A finalist for Rookie of the Year at the Intentionalis Awards, Coffee Tab has served over four cohorts of baristas and earned 220+ online reviews. Many of our students face challenges such as food insecurity and homelessness, and we strive to break cycles of poverty by offering job training, resume and interview preparation, and a safe space to grow. Referred to us by school counselors, social workers, parole officers, and nonprofit affiliates, our students are more than just statistics—they are the future we’re investing in, one cup at a time.
