Cupcake Decorating Class

Celebrate a special occasion or learn a creative skill with a hands-on cupcake decorating class in Chicagoland! In this fun and interactive class, you will learn the art of decorating cupcakes with buttercream frosting. You will learn how to pipe flowers and leaves with buttercream through multiple techniques demonstrated by your experienced instructor. You will walk away with a new set of skills to create beautiful cupcake flower displays-- the perfect dessert for any occasion.Your chef will provide pre-baked and cooled cupcakes to use throughout the class. She will demonstrate how to make each design and provide ample time for practice. Don't be intimidated if this is your first time operating a piping bag! This class is designed for beginners. After you've created your cupcake masterpieces, you can box up your cupcakes to take home. Or, stick around for a tasting and maybe order a drink at the bar! You will make six stunning cupcakes to take home.We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the baking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

  Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, especially if you’re part of a large group. You will work in groups throughout the class, sharing equipment and ingredients. Outside drinks are not allowed and are not included in the ticket price. The venue does not allow alcoholic beverages on site.
