Looking for fun things to do in the Bay Area this weekend with your friends? Come out and make your own DIY tote with block printing!
Block printing is a simple and beginner-friendly medium for folks interested in making prints that can be transferred to paper or clothing. In this workshop, each person will have a chance to design a tote or other article of clothing with a custom print.
Bring a sketch or image to trace from. All the tools and materials you need for the block printing and a bag for each participant are provided by your host, Hot Stuff Studios. Hot Stuff Studios will provide a range of color inks and 1 natural cotton tote for each person. However, guests are encouraged to bring additional items for printing of their own, if time allows.
If you are curious about trying block printing at home, learning this easy DIY technique is a great place to get started. You'll leave with a stamped tote bag and the skills to make more block prints of your own!
