Want to create textural embroidery that pops off the fabric? Join fiber artist and author Melissa Galbraith of MCreativeJ to learn stumpwork with this delightful strawberry design in this embroidery class in Seattle. Stumpwork is a type of textural embroidery that uses padding and wire to create elements that stand away from the fabric creating 3D elements.
In this craft class, you’ll learn how to make a sculptural strawberry and leaves that stick out from the fabric. You'll take home the basic skills to create your own textured embroidery and a catalog of new and useful embroidery stitches for future projects.

  • Corded detached buttonhole stitch. All materials are included.
This class is best suited for makers that have stitched before, however, all are welcome! Your friendly instructor will take you through each step so you can leave with something you're proud to display. Whether you're looking for a few new stitches to add to your repertoire or you simply fell in love with the cute embroidery design and want to spend a creative day learning something new, you'll enjoy this friendly and fun hands-on lesson!
