Add a spalsh of blue and a dose of creativity to your linens by learning indigo dyeing in this craft workshop in Seattle. Explore the magic of indigo dyeing with fiber artist Melissa Galbraith of MCreativeJ.
Learn shibori dyeing techniques on how to fold and bind fabric to create patterns and designs with indigo dye. You’ll love seeing the dye change colors, and your designs come to life! You will receive four cotton tea towels to create your own patterns, but you are also encouraged to bring additional materials of your own to dye. Get creative as you want and add a blue wash to a worn-out dress or brighten up your bed sheets for the summer with a pop of color!
This class makes for great birthday party ideas, bachelorette activities and even team building workshops! Enjoy a casual day learning a new craft and take home hand-dyed items and a few new skills!

We only require masks if an attendee requests them. Please email us to let us know you would like the group to mask. Attendees will receive an email letting them know if masks will be required.

What to bring
  • Wear clothing you don’t mind getting a little dye on -- this class can get messy.
  • Any extra natural fiber materials you want to dye (optional).

Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 12 years old).

An adult must accompany any attending kids, and must pay for a separate ticket.
