Floral Watercolor Class

Your instructor, Catherine, will teach you how to create gorgeous and colorful flower art!In this casual class designed for beginners, you will learn color theory, how to mix colors, and the basic strokes to use when creating leaf and petal shapes.We will discuss the basics of watercolor, which supplies to get, and basic floral composition so that you will be confident creating your own floral watercolor masterpieces at home!All supplies you need will be included so that you can focus on unwinding and creating something beautiful. Get ready to explore a new hobby, find a moment of peace, or spend time with other creatives in this fun watercolor painting class!If you want to bring your own supplies, here's the material list:

• Synthetic squirrel round brush (size 4 or 6 recommended but bring what you have)
• 140lb cold press watercolor paper pad (Blick Studio, Fabriano, Arches, Baohong, etc.)
• Artist-grade watercolor paints (warm and cool primaries (Red, Yellow, Blue), optional: earth colors (raw umber, yellow ochre, burnt sienna). All of these are what I include in the supply kit. You are welcome to use my paints to see which colors you would like to add to your collection.
• Watercolor palette with mixing wells
