Add some funk and creativity to your mug cabinet with a handmade mug! In this beginner's pottery class in Pike/Pine, you will learn hand building basics to make your own mug.
What you'll learn
  • How to pinch and coil your tumbler
  • Create tumbler form
  • Make and attach handles
  • Decorate mugs with color
This workshop requires no experience, so you can jump right into the world of ceramics! Clay, tools, and supplies will all be provided, along with expert guidance to get you started on your creative journey. After creating your mug, you will also get an opportunity to decorate your mugs with some color.
Whether you want to try out a new hobby with low commitment or you're looking for fun activities to do with friends or coworkers or for a date night idea, this is a great way to unwind, spend time with others, and create functional ceramics!
Each mug will be glazed clear, fired, and ready in about 6-8 weeks after class.

T. Stefanski / Taylor Stefanski is a ceramicist from Everett, Washington.
Their work explores concepts of imperfection through meditative repetition - expressed in the hand building process. Each of their pieces are one of a kind and made primarily using a coil building technique. Where she rolls each coil by hand to create each unique form.
Graduated from Cornish College of the Art with a focus on printmaking and sculpture. Their ceramic work is carried in a variety of stores in Seattle, Portland and LA.
She has been teaching for over four years and currently teaches hand building classes at her studio in Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle.
