If you're excited about ceramics and want to expand your skillset or find a community in Seattle, this intermediate ceramics course is just what you need. This is a six-week hand-building course intended for intermediate-level students.
It is important to have a basic understanding of working with the material. The techniques you should have under your belt for this class are coil building, attaching/slip and scoring, and slab building basics.
During this series, we will cover a handful of projects that are more in-depth and involve multiple hand-building techniques. As always, deviation is warmly welcomed, and if you would rather work on a project of your choosing, that can be arranged.
Examples of projects we will cover are butter dishes, berry bowls, and sgraffito flower pots. Come with ideas or find inspiration once you start class! This is a great opportunity to get personalized guidance, meet fellow ceramicists who can help you brainstorm ideas, and turn your creative dreams into reality!
