Join Erin Eggenburg for an information-packed workshop for mending denim and woven clothing. With hands-on practice, you’ll learn this simple, but useful patterned stitching technique for patching denim and other woven textiles.
This is a great class for beginners and seasoned hand stitchers alike that will teach you how mending can be both functional and beautiful.
This three-hour workshop includes:
  • A presentation of mending materials and how they are used in practice.
  • A hands-on tutorial to practice and complete a patch, in the sashiko-style embroidery technique.
  • An explanation of how to repair specific types of mends (crotch/butt patching, threadbare areas, torn pockets, worn knees).
  • An opportunity to ask questions about your specific repair.
