What you'll do
Turn something ordinary into something beautiful in this mosaic class in Orange. Come spend the day with us, while learning all the different techniques that go into creating your own beautiful, one-of-a-kind mosaic block/brick. This concrete block is approximately 8"x5"x3", and we anticipate you'll leave with a finished project.In this workshop, you will be adorning a block with ceramics, broken china, tokens, bead, baubles and other bits & pieces. Learn about design, gluing, grouting, working with ceramics, broken china and so much more. I will demo how to grout in class. You will take grout home to finish your project once the glue has set for 24 - 48 hours, or you are welcome to come back to the Dragonfly to grout your piece on a day to be determined.Allow 2- 4 hours, depending on size of your piece:We have an ever-changing selection of tiles and china to choose from, so yours will look different. If you have broken pieces of china that are special to you, or if there's a particular color scheme you're going for and you'd like to incorporate them into this piece, please bring them with you - that's what makes it personal & exciting.The photos are SAMPLES! Yours will look different because it will be your OWN designPlease feel free to bring your own snacks, & beverages.
