Are you looking to learn a new craft this year? Or just find an alternative to drinks and dinner? Learn how to make needle punched coasters in this craft workshop in Oakland!
Your instructor, Antonia will help you create your own coasters made by needle punching. You will be provided with all supplies necessary to create your coasters, including premade designs, a selection of yarns, scissors, monks cloth, punch needles, and embroidery hoops.
In this two-hour workshop, you will learn all the basics of punch needle: stretching your monk's cloth, selecting your yarn, and creating your pieces. This is the perfect class for beginners or those who have tried punch needle and would like some creative company.
You'll come away from this class with a small coaster in a design of your choice—and the knowledge to create future pieces of any size! This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and tap into your creativity.

What to bring
If interested, you can bring your own designs (must fit in a 7x7 space), but it is not required.

This class is great for individuals and couples as well as for a date idea, team building activity, Christmas party or bachelorette party.

Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 10 years old).

An adult must accompany any attending kids. The adult may observe at the class for free.

This experience would also be a fun gift for her, gift for mom or gift for couples.

Antonia is a Chilean interdisciplinary artist. She focuses her work on story telling and the healing nature of art. Antonia was born in Santiago, Chile and immigrated with her family to Mobile, Alabama at the age of two. She moved back to the motherland as a teenager and lived in Vina del Mar, Chile until she graduated as a designer. From 2017-2021, she worked as a design educator in Providence, Rhode Island throughout middle schools and high schools from the Providence Public School District. She continued her work as an educator in Oakland, California, until May of 2023.
Antonia connects her work to healing due to the value that it has brought into her life. She sees exploring mediums and dedicating time into her crafts as a spaces where curiosity and play are welcome. She currently shares her knowledge with others through workshops, throughout the Bay Area as well as virtually.
