Kintsugi
Unwind, create, and restore in this Kintsugi class in Los Angeles! Kintsugi is the Japanese art of metal joinery, where you use gold to mend broken ceramics. This art form embraces imperfections to create a one-of-a-kind and sustainable creation.
In this Kintsugi class, you will learn a simple Kintsugi technique using modern adhesives and brass powder to create a unique plate or art piece. Synthetic resin dries quickly and is hypoallergenic. This method is suitable for decorative and non-food ceramics.
This Neo-Kintsugi technique makes learning this beautiful art form accessible and easy to understand. You'll receive personalized guidance throughout the process, ensuring you leave with a Kintsugi piece you love and the basic skills to explore a new hobby.
These beautiful pieces can be used in a variety of ways throughout your home, including catch baskets, decorative displays, and jewelry trinket trays. Restored pottery is not suitable for use in dishwashers, microwave ovens, ovens, or stoves.

Kintsugi_LA was established in Anaheim, CA in July 2021 with the concept of ""Providing a platform for many to easily experience Japanese culture"".
Japan has a rich history of over 2500 years, with many traditions and customs deeply ingrained in its society and Kintsugi, the art of repairing broken pottery with gold, is one such tradition.
However, as is the case in traditional skills in many cultures, Kintsugi techniques are also facing a crisis of not being inherited and are at risk of being lost.
Our mission is to preserve this beautiful art form for future generations and to share not only the Kintsugi experience but also the philosophy behind it which involves mending oneself to achieve a fulfilling life. This is why we began our business by offering Kintsugi workshops.
Our workshops are regularly held in the LA area, and in other cities such as San Diego, San Francisco, Irvine, and Trance on an irregular basis.
To date, we held over 150 workshops, and more than 600 participants were attended.
In addition to group workshops, we now offer activities such as private lessons, traditional lacquer workshops, Kintsugi repair services, corporate training seminars, and Kintsugi instructor training courses.
Last year, Kintsugi_LA also began supporting local companies as a marketing adviser to promote Japanese the culture and spirit.
We believe that connecting people with people and culture while continuing to inherit culture allows us to lead fulfilling lives.
Our goal is to create a community that can support others to achieve the life.
