3 hours Class size 4 to 20 guests     $190

Elevate your plants and explore tactile art in this ceramics class in Lynnwood. In this pottery workshop for beginners, you will learn basic hand building techniques to create your own beautiful ceramic wall hanging.
Your class will begin with a welcome prosecco cocktail served in cups from the studio's Signature Collection while you enjoy some light snacks as the entire group arrives. After that, we will take a brief tour of the pottery studio and learn how it started.
Next, your instructor will introduce our project and show you examples of ceramic wall hangings that you will be able to create yourself. After brainstorming a design, you'll finally get your hands into the clay! You are welcome to get as creative as you like and let your imagination take the lead. Your instructor will guide you through the process and provide you with hand-building tips so you can turn your vision into reality.
As you sculpt your clay, you are welcome to sip your drinks, relax, and create! After the class concludes, pieces will be fired and finished up at the studio and available to be picked up or shipped directly to your home.
This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with others, try something new, and create functional art without any artistic experience. Hopefully, you'll leave feeling inspired to learn more and explore your artistic side more often.

Your teacher

Hello there! I'm Helena Duffy, and I'm here to share my lifelong love affair with ceramics with you. As a ceramics teacher and professional ceramic artist, I've dedicated my life to the pursuit of artistry and creativity. For me, ceramics isn't just a hobby or a profession—it's a sanctuary, a place where I find peace and tranquility amidst the chaos of the world. There's something incredibly soothing about working with clay, about feeling its cool, malleable texture beneath my fingertips and knowing that with just a few simple motions, I can bring something beautiful and meaningful into existence.
What draws me to ceramics, more than anything else, is its deep connection to nature and its ancient origins. There's a primal, almost elemental quality to working with clay that speaks to me on a profound level. Every piece I create is infused with this connection, this reverence for the natural world and the countless generations of artists who have come before me. It's a reminder that, no matter how advanced our technology becomes, there's still something deeply human about the act of creation, something timeless and eternal.
But perhaps what I love most about ceramics is the opportunity it provides me to share my passion with others. Through my luxury experiences, I strive to make the art of pottery accessible to everyone, regardless of their skill level or background. There's nothing quite like the joy of seeing someone's face light up when they realize that they're capable of creating something beautiful with their own two hands. And what better way to unwind and connect with others than over a glass of prosecco and the earthy scent of clay? So come join me, and let's embark on this journey together.
