Want to learn more about working with clay alongside fellow local artists? Join this hand building course in Austin! These weekly learning clubs will allow you to learn new skills, gain inspiration from fellow artists, and share your knowledge with them too.
Hand Building Club will focus on developing basic and advanced skills and techniques used in hand-built ceramics. We will work on techniques such as slab building, coil building, and the use of molds. We will also play with surface decoration techniques such as sgraffito, slip trailing, transfer printing, and more.
This pottery workshop is perfect for all skill levels. If you're a total beginner, you will be able to learn hand building basics from an experienced instructor and find your creative inspiration. If you are a more experienced potter, this is a great opportunity to get questions answered, improve your skills, and bounce ideas off of fellow ceramicists. With all of the supplies and tools ready for you in class, you can learn ceramics with ease and confidence!
