From Corporate America to a Colorful Canvas. I Stacey Duster, aka “Sparkle”, owner and self-taught professional artist, am one who truly embarked on a transformative journey from the structured world of Corporate America to the vibrant realm of painting and teaching, along with self-discovery, courage, and the pursuit of my true passion.I took a leap of faith and left corporate America. Little did I know a serendipitous encounter with a paintbrush and canvas would soon ignite a spark within me. I felt an unexplainable connection to the world of art, an untapped wellspring of creativity.Embracing the unknown, driven by a newfound passion, and with the encouragement of my friends and family, I made the decision to follow my passion and plunge into the world of art, trusting that my determination and talent would guide me through.I immersed myself in You Tube tutorials, on-line courses and workshops. I experimented with various artistic mediums, acrylics (my fave), gouache, watercolors, and all sorts of mixed media. As I learned what excited me the most, my skills began to emerge pretty quickly. I was captivated by bright colors and color mixing.I soon sold several commission pieces, a wall mural, and a few portraits making me a professional artist in my eyes. I also quickly realized my true calling extended beyond my own creative pursuits. I felt an overwhelming desire to share my experiences and what I had learned with others.My new found passion for art became the driving force behind little biz "SoCal Paint Parties", a place where I could empower others to discover their own creative self.My journey into the realm of art is a testament to the human spirit's capacity for reinvention and self-discovery. It is my hope to inspire countless others to embark on their own artistic journey, whatever that may be.
