In this screenprinting workshop in Austin, you can feel at ease learning something by yourself alongside other like-minded individuals. This isn't a dating event, but if you are new to Austin, if you're looking for new friends or just some time away from everyone you know, this class is perfect for you. In this workshop, we'll briefly cover the history of the craft and then move on to practicalities. We’ll discuss stencil options and the characteristics of your process that will affect your final print. Everyone will create their own paper stencils and then we'll print!In this workshop, you will
- Make your own stencil
- Choose your paper for printing: encyclopedia pages, colored sheets, greeting cards, etc.
- Make as many prints as you want
- Learn the basics of screenprinting that can be applied to more advanced projects
- Learn in an intimate setting with one on one support as needed
