Leave the blues for your crafting in this indigo dyeing workshop in San Francisco! In this hands-on class, you will learn shibori fabric dyeing with the classic indigo coloring.
Shibori is the Japanese art of binding and folding fabric in different patterns before dyeing. Using natural indigo powder, you will learn how to use different binding techniques to create unique patterns on a cotton tea towel, set of napkins, or your own natural fiber cloth.
In this class, we will walk through step-by-step folding options to create a dyed fabric. We will share all of our tips and tricks to make a true blue creation of your very own.
This fun and beginner friendly workshop will leave you will eye catching textile pieces. By the end of your workshop, you will have creations featuring vibrant blue and white patterns and the skills to try natural dyeing on your own!
