In this story:
When Liza Fiorentinos joined the corporate world in New York City, she was stunned by the lack of plant life and fresh air in office spaces. She was used to the lush greenery from her upbringing in Africa and was inspired to find a way to bring natural art indoors.
That’s how her small business was born. By using framing, lighting and colorful decorations, she was able to showcase the natural beauty of plants in a unique and artistic way. As an homage to her Greek heritage, she decided to name her business Luludi– which translates to “plants” in Greek.
Now you can learn how to make terrariums, moss wall art, kokedama, and more with Luludi Living Art in New York, San Francisco or online. Not only has Liza refreshed the spaces of many corporate offices, but she now shares her knowledge with the world so that anyone can learn how to bring a slice of nature into their space.
Plants inspired me…
“So many years locked in the corporate world made me yearn for nature and color! My years in Africa and my time in Greece gave me a huge appreciation for the outdoors and I always felt so alive when I was outside. A business with plants was an easy next step for me.”
Learn to unleash your creativity…
“People are so innately creative. We show them the materials at hand and then we give some fun scoop on plants and their benefits and then offer gentle directions with some samples to inspire the attendees. We chat with them and guide them when they need it but our role is to be a support versus the creator– that's their role.”
Crystals and terrariums are the ultimate duo…
“The Zen Crystal Workshop and the Moss Wall Garden. I love crystals, their history and what they have been used for over the centuries. It's magical. Imagine the joy of combining plants and crystals in one terrarium, especially if you have chosen the crystal that speaks to you for its healing properties."
Find peace among the plants...
"The Moss Wall Garden class is also lovely for me because moss immediately soothes and relaxes one. If you see the creations people have done, the beauty will blow you away. It is pure artwork and it comes from a deep well of creativity inside of each person.”
My plant workshops are…
“Inspirational and mentoring…filled with laughter and humility, because I have killed my share of plants over the years! Having our studio filled with people who want to learn a little about plants and create their own mini-living worlds makes me so happy.”
