Watch your design come to life piece by piece in this mosaic making class in Chicago! In this mosaic class, you will learn how to make mosaics suitable for indoors or outdoors. This workshop is suitable for all skill levels, whether you're an experienced crafter or just want to try something new. Your instructor will take you through the process step by step. You will use a technique that involves laying tiles directly onto a durable surface. Choose from a wide range of unglazed ceramic and glass tesserae to form your creation! You are also welcome to bring your own materials if you wish to create a mixed-media piece!You will learn:
- How to transform a design idea into a mosaic
- How to use mosaic making tools
- How to cut and lay mosaic tiles
- How to apply basic techniques.
- How to grout and clean your mosaic.
