Need an activity in San Francisco Bay Area? Learn how to throw pottery on the wheel in this pottery class. In this session, you will enjoy a hands-on lesson to learn the basics of wheel throwing.
With hands-on instruction, all the tools, and supplies, you will learn how to center the clay, raise the walls and shape the clay into a cylinder or bowl. There's no experience necessary for this beginner's pottery class, your instructor will take you through all the wheel throwing basics.
If you are looking for an afternoon activity, learn a new skill, or just want to play in mud, come on down and sink your hands into some clay. Pottery can be incredibly relaxing and a fun challenge that will leave you inspired! Plus, you'll have several handmade ceramic pieces to remind you of the experience.
Most students go home with a mug, bowl and plate from the day. Your pieces will be fired and glazed (you pick the glaze) and ready to pick up about three weeks after the class. Shipping is available.
At this time, we can only accommodate three people in a class at a time.
