Explore hand building and book a date with clay in this ceramics course in Manhattan. In this two-part workshop, you will learn how to make tableware and then meet for a social dining event that will put your handmade ceramics to use!
This is a beginner-friendly workshop, where you will learn hand building basics to craft your own tableware. You can create bowls, cups, plates, or whatever you desire! Not only will you get to choose and design your project, but you also have the option to paint your piece and choose from nine different paints and six different glazes.
All finished pieces are food-safe, microwave-safe, and even oven-safe! Everything is included, from the instruction and kiln firings to drinks and snacks.
After you learn how to make your plates, bowls, or vessels, you’ll meet up for a second session at the end of the month to order takeout or eat ice cream using your finished handmade tableware! This is a wonderful opportunity to see how everyone’s pieces turned out and share a very special meal with your handmade items.
Whether you're looking for fun things to do with friends in NYC or want to make new friends, this fun and social ceramics workshop encourages creativity and connection.

Angela, our founder, started hosting Claydates—playdates with clay—from her small studio apartment, creating a warm and inviting space for people to connect through creativity. Now, we proudly call Chelsea our home!
When choosing a name for our studio, we wanted something that captured the essence of what we offer—a cozy, welcoming space where you can meet up, create, or simply be, all while escaping the hustle and bustle of the city.
Gather around the table with new friends, get your hands messy, and surprise yourself with what you can create! Our community-first approach and passion for clay have even caught the attention of New York Live with Lauren Scala, and we can’t wait to share the experience with you.
