You learn how to sketch from a reference photo, how to mix paint to make colors lighter or darker, and of course how to paint using oil based paint. A wonderful and educational class! EunYoung is very knowledgeable and patient as a teacher, she was so helpful teaching us all about matcha and how to make a proper cup. She went through the history, origins, types, and instruction on how to prepare matcha. I bought this course as a gift for my wife’s birthday and she enjoyed it a lot. I got this for a gift for my girlfriend for valentines day. I printed out ClassBento and let her pick the class of her choosing. I got this as a gift for my partner's birthday – neither of us had done a cooking class before, but we cook a decent amount at home so I wasn't sure what to expect. It was a full class, but Stefano and Dona did an excellent job of being attentive to everyone making sure we all got to participate in different parts of the process. Even as someone who is an experienced home cook, I came away learning a lot and the food was delicious! It was neat getting to try our hands at making the three different types of pasta from scratch. If we liked the scent we dipped our tester strip into the sample and kept it at our workstation. I appreciated her encouragement for creativity and intuition on our part during this process as much as she was willing to make suggestions when asked to do so by one of my fellow workshop mates. My group was small (7 total), diverse, friendly and engaged; overall, a very relaxed, friendly atmosphere that Saturday morning. Our workshop leader, Michelle, provided tons of information but avoided lecturing, listened intently to and provided answers to questions throughout the workshop. I had a great time immersed in smelling and designing. It reminded me of wine tasting where you set aside time to compare and explore with one of your senses--but here you walk away with your own creation!
