I bought my mom this class as a gift and we thoroughly enjoyed it! First, bios apothecary was super accommodating because I had some issues with scheduling. Second, at the actual class Jimmy, our teacher was amazing. He was very experienced and you could tell that he really knew and understood his stuff. We got to smell a bunch of different fragrances and then narrow down which ones paired well withI bought my mom this class as a gift and we thoroughly enjoyed it! We also got to decorate the bottles which was super cute (see attached pics). All in all we would totally do this again either for fun or maybe for a birthday activity or a work outing. You learn how to sketch from a reference photo, how to mix paint to make colors lighter or darker, and of course how to paint using oil based paint. My wife and I took the pet bowl class for an upcoming holiday gift exchange, and we were really happy with our decision! Natalie was very nice, helpful, and imformative and created a fun, relaxing environment. I'd never really worked in clay and by the end of the class I was quickly putting together my second bowl without much help or instruction! Two hours went by in a flash, I'd definitely recommend to anybody who wants to spend an afternoon crafting creatively.

Purchased as a gift for my partner, this terrarium-making class met all expectations! The setting was intimate, clean & organized, and the the supplies were excellent quality. She started out with a few slides with information on perfume structure and scent categorization then quickly pivoted to passing around and smelling scent samples from their collection. We smelled a dizzying number of scents (I had to re-up on the mimosa 1/2 way through) as Michelle explained how each was derived/extracted; its characteristicsContext: workshop gifted to me by my partner because she knows I like to swing by cologne counters and check out offerings. Andbest gift EVER! Workshop: Michelle lead our workshop with much info, ease and aplomb! She started out with a few slides with information on perfume structure and scent categorization then quickly pivoted to passing around and smelling scent samples from their collection. We smelled a dizzying number of scents (I had to re-up on the mimosa 1/2 way through) as Michelle explained how each was derived/extracted; its characteristics and behavior in relation to other scents; and common pairings/combinations. If we liked the scent we dipped our tester strip into the sample and kept it at our workstation. The next step was to use our sample strips to come up with a combination we liked and create our own perfume. I appreciated her encouragement for creativity and intuition on our part during this process as much as she was willing to make suggestions when asked to do so by one of my fellow workshop mates. My group was small (7 total), diverse, friendly and engaged; overall, a very relaxed, friendly atmosphere that Saturday morning. Our workshop leader, Michelle, provided tons of information but avoided lecturing, listened intently to and provided answers to questions throughout the workshop. I had a great time immersed in smelling and designing. It reminded me of wine tasting where you set aside time to compare and explore with one of your senses--but here you walk away with your own creation! If you're at all curious or interested in scents, perfumes, colognes, I highly recommend this workshop. + more
