Add some handmade chocolates to your holiday cookie tins this season! In this virtual dessert-making class, you can learn how to make elegant and professional-looking chocolates! Not to mention, they'll taste delicious!
Holiday bakers of all ages will learn tips on how to temper and dip chocolate. We will make a variety of chocolate treats, including a classed-up turtle full of crunchy pecans and sweetened with maple. Create a winter lover's peppermint bark, complete with "melted snowmen" if you choose to get crafty. Dip dried fruit and pretzels and discuss other items to enjoy with melted chocolate.
Finally, you'll get scrappy, whipping up creative variations of chocolate bark with random ingredients you probably already have and scraping up the last bit of melted chocolate. This is a fantastic tip to learn to not waste any food, and still have a surprise treat to try every time you bake! You can also turn this into a fun team activity to see what you can create with the materials you have! Make it competitive or share your ideas and treats with one another.
If you're looking for fun holiday activities or delicious holiday recipes for gift ideas, this will get you in the festive mood and treat you to some tasty seasonal chocolates!

Teaching Table aims to inspire others to cook foods that are better for their bodies, their families, and their communities. The table I grew up around inspired curiosity, challenge, and an appreciation for food. At Teaching Table, we believe in sourcing ingredients locally to sustain our earth and community. Our classes empower you to make health-supportive decisions while honoring that food should taste delicious.
We believe in creating positive participant experiences. So, when you gather around the Teaching Table, you will learn techniques to turn seasonal, locally sourced ingredients into tasty and nourishing meals everyone will enjoy. You will ask questions and challenge yourself and walk away with recipes and tools for your culinary tool belt.
Teaching Table classes are intentionally small, intimate learning experiences so that you get hands-on practice and personalized attention. Menus and instruction are tailored to participants’ dietary needs and preferences, cooking skills, and goals.
