What you'll do
Dig your hands into clay and learn the basics of hand building in this ceramics class in 29 Palms! You are able to choose from a variety of different projects to make, where you can let your creativity flow! This class is taught in your instructor's home ceramic studio in a cozy garage workshop in the Chocolate Drop neighborhood, about 5 minutes from downtown 29 Palms. For the first 10 minutes, you can choose your hand-built project (some project ideas are decorative plates, tea light holders, and mugs). Next, your instructor will give specific instructions on how to construct your chosen project. They are able to provide as much guidance as you would like, giving you plenty of freedom and personalized care. During the rest of the experience, you will have the opportunity to experiment and develop your piece. Get creative! Let the warm breezes guide your hands to build something you'll take home as a memento of your time in the desert.Please note
- Your instructor can host up to six guests in their venue.
- The price of your experience includes one piece fired to take home. You will have the option to choose one glaze color. Depending on my firing schedule, it will take 4-6 weeks to be glazed and fired. The piece can be picked up at my studio, or your instructor is happy to ship anywhere in the world for the additional cost of shipping. Postage is around $10-25 within the US, plus a $10 shipping and handling fee. International shipping will have to be calculated at the time of shipment.
