Latte Art
Houjicha or roasted green tea is one of Japan's most beloved teas. It is celebrated for its intense roasted aromatics, its light, easy-to-drink flavor, and its accessibility as a day-to-day drinker.
In this class, we will explore the flexibility of houjicha by preparing and tasting it in its various applications, including latte, confectionery, and loose-leaf tea. This workshop will start with a tasting of traditionally brewed loose-leaf houjicha paired with our houjicha chocolate while centering around learning to prepare our signature houjicha latte.
You will learn the fundamentals of latte preparation, including whisking, steaming cafe-quality milk, and the basics of freehand latte art pouring. This comprehensive and fun workshop features an info session, hands-on houjicha whisking and milk steaming, and a small dessert pairing!
