Interested in Indian cooking? Master making bread - one of the staples of India's traditional cuisine - in an online cooking class sure to satisfy your stomach.
You'll have your choice of three breads to make from the following:
  • Roti: An everyday unleavened durum wheat flatbread
  • Parantha: Layers of seasoned, unleavened dough rolled into triangles, squares, or circles and pan fried in ghee and usually served with breakfast and lunch
  • Garlic Naan: A pillowy soft leavened bread, traditionally baked in a clay oven and replicated at home
  • Poori: Small deep fried flatbreads traditionally paired with potato dishes
  • Gobhi Parantha: A pan fried flatbread with a stuffing of seasoned, grated cauliflower
Some kitchen know-how is recommended for this intermediate-level Indian cooking class. Armed with your experience and desire to learn, you'll follow along with expert Chef Nupur as she unpacks the secrets to making delicious Indian breads that will go great with any Indian meal you're interested in cooking. (Or serve as a scrumptious snack all on their own!)
You'll get a shopping list of all the ingredients you need after booking your class. Beyond that, all you need is a kitchen and an internet connection, and you'll be good to go! Grab a foodie friend or two, and make a virtual party of it.
By the end of this class, you'll have three fresh, warm Indian breads ready to enjoy, plus a newfound culinary skill to add to your repertoire!

Nupur Arora, or Chef Nupur, as she's popularly known, didn't come to New York to pursue a degree in culinary arts. In fact, she came here 25 years ago to study at the Fashion Institute of Technology and was a fashion entrepreneur for many years, creating custom clothing for her clients.
Back in 2016, she stepped away from her custom clothing brand and started diving into food - sharing live home-style Indian food cooking demos on social media. Making curry in a kitchen in Queens was really how this brand started.
