Matcha has exploded in popularity in the US in recent years, but its significance in Japan spans hundreds of years and is inseparable from the country’s rich history of tea production and consumption. In this beginner-friendly class, you'll learn about that storied history and the evolution of Matcha through to the present day.
The traditional tools and preparation methods will also be covered, as you learn how to whisk the perfect bowl of matcha. This introductory class is great for those looking to explore Japanese tea for the first time and for those looking to travel deeper down the path of matcha.
