12 hours total (over 6 dates) Class size 1 to 5 guests     $425

Join our six-week virtual memoir writing course and learn creative tools to craft the best version of your memoir. This course will help you build a solid framework, unlocking your inner artist and teaching you how to write an emotionally powerful book that resonates with readers.
It’s a critical time to share our stories, and this workshop offers the perfect opportunity to connect wisdom, skills, and life experiences with broader communities. Through expert guidance, you will explore the essential building blocks of writing, including character development, dialogue, structure, tone, plot, voice, tension, and more. You’ll also learn how to use poetic devices to fill in memory gaps and creatively disguise characters for safety or legal reasons, ensuring that your truth is told with authenticity and impact.
As a bonus, some of your workshop material may be included in a 100-page non-fiction book about memoir writing, available for free to participants before spring! Learn to write through trauma, give yourself permission to tell your story, and discover tricks that will empower you to write with confidence. This course is the perfect foundation for anyone who has dreamed of writing a memoir, helping you to overcome frustration and move forward with your storytelling journey.

Ghostwriter of over a dozen memoirs (some published by top houses), poet, and writing coach. A sensitive coach who specializes in human rights/trauma-based stories. My own work has been published places like the Nation and broadcast on National Public Radio's All Things Considered.
Why I I started this course. Clients often come to me with a mess of a manuscript they have devoted a lot of energy towards writing but need help salvaging. By that point, help is expensive. Authors are disheartened and frustrated with their process.
Authors with the best intentions and compelling stories often attempt to write their books blindly, without having learned or practiced some of the basics. That tends to make things more difficult than they need to be. Everyone who has dreamed of writing a book, can write one. Pick up a few tools, learn some tricks. Then go full force and embark on the challenging (for everyone) task of writing your story.
