What you'll do
Make custom neon signs to light up your space in this craft workshop in Brooklyn! In this workshop, you will learn how to make LED neon signs that are fun to make and environmentally friendly. Compared to traditional glass neon lights, neon wall lights are brighter, more beautiful, and are not easily damaged and broken. They also produce no noise, are safe, and make a more sustainable choice. Following a brief history and intro lesson, you'll get started designing, sketching, and creating. Your teacher will guide you through the steps of working with neon to create your own unique signs. Before heading home with your sign, we’ll test it at least two times to make sure it works. Reducing energy consumption is one way to go green. Another is to reduce the amount of toxic materials released into the environment. You can rest your conscience and enjoy an evening of making custom LED signs while meeting new people.
