Bring some creativity to your day and some color to your crafting with this Nerikomi ceramics class in NYC! In this workshop, you will learn Nerikomi, the art of creating patterned ceramics by compressing and combining dyed porcelain.
Don't be intimidated by these professional-looking results, you can create beautifully patterned pottery after just one lesson! You can choose to make beads to send to all of your friends or a small dish. Your instructor will take you through each step of the process so you can achieve your desired results.
All of the necessary materials are provided, including pre-colored porcelain and tools. You will also receive information and resources for dyeing clay if you are interested in pursuing this craft after class.
If you're looking for ceramics classes for beginners, this is a great opportunity to explore the craft and a local ceramics community. Relax with a tactile craft, learn basic hand building techniques, and finish with a stunning piece that will show off your hard work.
After the workshop, we will take your work to be fired and glazed. It will then be available for pickup at Dusty Friends for one month. You may prepay to have your work shipped during the workshop.
