Plushie Pet Ornament Workshop

Craft adorable plushie ornaments of your favorite animals in this fun sew-and-stitch workshop in Brooklyn!

2 hours Class size 8 to 20 guests     $60

Ever wished you could keep a mini version of your favorite furry friend forever? Join us in Brooklyn for this playful plushie workshop, where you’ll turn photos of your pet (or any adorable animal you choose) into tiny, hand-stitched ornaments. Whether you’re making a keepsake, a unique holiday gift, or just something cute to brighten your day, this workshop promises a fun and cozy crafting experience in New York City!
Before the class, simply email us three photos of silly animals — whether it’s your pet, a friend’s, or a funny internet find! We’ll have each image printed and pre-stitched into a plushie shape, ready for you to bring to life.
Once in class, you’ll get hands-on with your plushie project, learning how to turn, stuff, and stitch your mini pets before adding a hanging string for display. This beginner-friendly workshop starts with a quick and easy tutorial, leaving you plenty of time to work on your plushies, admire everyone’s creations, and share in endless “aww” moments.
Perfect for a holiday gift-making activity in Brooklyn, or as a delightful way to celebrate a favorite animal, this workshop will fill your day with cuteness and creativity. You’ll leave with three mini plushie pets and a special memory of your beloved animals!
What photos work best
For the best results, we recommend submitting photos of animals that are either sitting, curled up into a ball, or showing their face — think circular or square shapes rather than long or “H” shaped poses. You can submit photos of your own pets, friends’ pets, funny internet animals, or even Moo Deng (we love them all, no judgment!). The reveal is sure to be funny and adorable!
To ensure the best quality, please send high-resolution images, preferably shot with a smartphone or digital camera. Unfortunately, old film photos taken with your cell phone might not work as well for this project.
Add-ons available for this class
  • 1 extra plushie ($10)
  • 2 extra plushies ($20)
  • 3 extra plushies ($30)
You can add these when you book (optional).

Kelli Kikcio is a multidisciplinary artist and designer from Saskatoon, SK, Canada, currently based in Brooklyn, NY.
Kelli has had a decade long, full time career as a self taught, machine-free tattoo artist and has owned tattoo shops in Brooklyn for the past 7 years. Prior to tattooing she earned a Bachelor of Design in Fashion Design at Toronto Metropolitan University, eventually working as a menswear designer.
Outside of her career, making and working with her hands has been a life long practice and priority. With over 20 years of sewing experience, Kelli has always had a penchant for pattern drafting and construction. Her shift from designing and crafting garments to objects was born out of her innate desire to problem solve and build. Kelli has been focusing on soft sculpture for over 5 years and finds that her audience is fascinated and drawn in by the playful, interactive, and soft nature of her work. She intends to re-imagine everyday objects in fabrics that are nostalgic, that call to mind feelings of comfort and home.
Kelli has an incredible and loyal following in the global/local tattoo community, and is now exploring sharing her penchant for handicrafts with those who know and love her work through workshops. Currently her workshops are hosted from her art studio in Brooklyn, NY and are suited for 8-20 guests, creating an intimate and homey environment. Fostering community and conversation through arts education is a true passion of Kelli's that is fulfilled through her classes.
