In Chinese tea ceremony, known as Gong Fu Cha (often translated as brewing tea with skill), when someone fills your tea cup, you tap twice on the tea table to offer gratitude. This is the source of our name: Tap Twice Tea. We formed in 2013 in the Mission District out of a love for tea and the community around tea drinking. At first, we only wanted to find good tea to share at tea gatherings with our fellow tea lovers, but that desire lead us to eventually begin traveling to tea farms throughout Asia to source the very best tea we could find and create a company out of it. We love teaching about the history of tea, how it is produced, tasting the different varieties, and showing folks how to brew the perfect cup. Let's taste some incredible tea together!
