In this workshop, you will learn how to create a visual diary that effectively and quickly captures the energy, movement, vibe, and experience of various settings. You'll venture into the city for a guided sketchbook adventure to wander, observe, and gather inspiration from the motion of the city around us! Beginning our morning at a farmer’s market, we will then walk to a park where we will people-watch, journal, and draw from observation. The workshop will conclude at Drawing Room where we will continue our sketching over coffee, tea, and snacks. Sketching can be done anywhere, so whether you need a mental break on your lunch hour or you're traveling abroad and want a way of documenting your experiences, you can get creative wherever you are. This workshop is the perfect start for those interested in beginning a visual travel diary and making friends as we create on the go!
