Hi there! I’m Lori!
When I was young, my favorite time of day was when I was allowed to draw, paint and make things. As I got older, this love never faded and knitting and crocheting have become my form of meditation, my personal escape. I love nothing more than starting a new project to keep my hands busy and my mind distracted. The sound of knitting needles becomes my mantra as my sweater would start to take shape. Completing a real alpaca sweater and saying, “I made that!” makes me feel proud of my accomplishment.
I went to business school and you can say I went from Kraft to craft! Meaning I worked in marketing at Kraft Foods and now I'm crafting! It's been a long career journey here and I'm so happy to be here now, sharing my love and joy in creating things from scratch.
I want to help you take your mind off things, learn a new craft and be social! Maybe meet a like minded person, a friend who likes to make things too. For me, friendship and crafting go hand in hand; that’s what The Crafty Lounge is all about—offering a space to meet new friends and share in this interest we love. Why not take a few minutes for yourself, get crafty and join a community of like-minded people. Think of it like your Book Club meets up with knitting needles.
Please sign up for a workshop and join me in building this community to be inspired to discover your own creativity. Let’s craft together… Think how inspired you’ll feel when someone says, “You made that?!”
And, just a fun fact: I've run 25 marathons.
