What you'll do

In this virtual basket weaving class, you will have the opportunity to learn how to create your very own beautiful hanging basket from scratch. This hands-on workshop will guide you through the art of weaving, providing you with the skills and techniques needed to craft a stunning piece for your home.

The dimension is approximately 9” tall and 4” diameter, without handle. It is available in three colors: natural color, brown, and mixed natural and brown.

If you're new to weaving, fear not! Our experienced instructor will be there to support and encourage you every step of the way. You'll be working with natural materials, such as rattan and twine, to create a unique and personalized hanging basket that reflects your style and creativity.

As you weave, you'll feel a sense of accomplishment and pride as your basket takes shape before your eyes. This activity is not only a creative outlet but also a transformative experience that will leave you with a beautiful and functional piece to enjoy in your space.

What you'll need

Large towel, scissors, bucket with water, clothespin, tape measure.

She started basketry when she took an onion basket class and fell in love with basket making! She grew up with her mom making toys out of bamboo. She is mostly interested in using local materials to make hanakago-style baskets.
