Explore the timeless Japanese art of Furoshiki gift wrapping! In this hands-on class, learn traditional folding techniques that transform fabric into beautiful, eco-friendly gift wraps. Perfect for team bonding or creative gatherings—wrap sustainably, celebrate tradition, and take home your own Furoshiki creations!
Our on-site Furoshiki gift wrapping class introduces guests to the beautiful and sustainable Japanese wrapping tradition, led by experienced instructors. Guests will learn to wrap gifts using square fabric cloths, practicing various folds and knots inspired by Japanese history and tradition. Each participant will receive items like a chocolate box and a bottle of drink to wrap, allowing them to explore different wrapping techniques for various shapes. Fun trivia about the cultural heritage and origins of Furoshiki enriches the experience, giving guests a deeper appreciation for this unique and sustainable art form. We’ll conclude with a photo session to capture everyone’s beautifully wrapped gifts and the joy of learning this cherished technique.
Each guest’s materials are individually packed into kits for easy setup, and multiple kits will be shipped to the on-site location a few days prior to the event. Our event facilitators will travel to your designated location and will arrive 30 to 60 minutes before the event to set up. We kindly ask for a comfortable arrangement with tables and chairs provided, ensuring ample elbow room at each seat. Table covers are not needed, although recommended. We will also supply individual paper placemats. For events with more than 15 guests, access to a mic, a TV with an overhead camera is ideal to ensure all participants have a clear view of the instructor’s demonstrations.

Meet Aimee, a Filipina-American entrepreneur, and her multicultural team at Kits by Food Craft.
The company was launched on February 2020 to host social corporate team events. Due to the pandemic, Aimee pivoted the business to DIY kits and eventually hosted virtual events to support remote teams across the world.
As a small and newly launched business, the pandemic was a turning point. But the team adapted, persevered, and as of January 2023, they fulfilled over 20, 000+ kits and hosted 900+ virtual events. This is our pandemic story, and we are grateful for the overwhelming support.
The events and what makes it unique: Inspired by the rich diversity of New York City and her multicultural team, Aimee curated workshops centered on promoting cultural appreciation through food, drink, and craft workshops.
Through sushi rolling, we give you a sneak peek of Japan's culture! The same goes with our Chai making, it's an intro to the land of spice, India.
Hope you can give us a chance to share a unique experience with your friends, family, and team!
Our mission is to create joy and connection through shared experiences.
