You learn how to sketch from a reference photo, how to mix paint to make colors lighter or darker, and of course how to paint using oil based paint. Our instructor Arlene was so helpful, funny, inspiring, and had a great taste in music. The effort was somehow both easier and harder than expected (my arms are spaghetti), but the teacher was available to help if you were struggling. My wife and I took the pet bowl class for an upcoming holiday gift exchange, and we were really happy with our decision! Natalie was very nice, helpful, and imformative and created a fun, relaxing environment. I'd never really worked in clay and by the end of the class I was quickly putting together my second bowl without much help or instruction! Two hours went by in a flash, I'd definitely recommend to anybody who wants to spend an afternoon crafting creatively.
